Well, I've decided to begin a rough walking regimen. I'm just not going to pass muster as a runner. But that shouldn't keep me from reaching some exercise goals and getting a good cardio workout. I plan to perform what I call "Brisk Walk", where I walk at a really rapid rate, short of jogging. I seem to be able to do that for long periods of time.
I just purchased a state of the art pedometer that I set the calculations for my stride length tonight. The device also calculates total distance and calories consumed based on my weight.
I plan to start at 5 miles tomorrow morning. Eventually I want to get up to 10 miles. This could be fun.
