Teddy,
Although I would compare myself to the "Patriot", it would be a different movie (The one with Steven Segal).
I have never been in the military. I was classified 4F and tried 3 times to get in. But, I guess I was not supposed to "be" in that mode.
To me a real man is someone who will be patient, loving and protective.
That does not mean he can't be wrong or back down if he is wrong. That means standing in his own "Power" regardless of consequences.
While I have never served in the military, I have practiced martial arts for years. And, I am very familiar with physical combat. I have felt the pain of having my own ass kicked and the triumph of kicking someone's ass who desperately needed it kicked. I am very happy to see that women are getting into physical combat now. It is the expression of the reality of our "animal" roots. Now, maybe we can approach each other (male and female) as REAL equals. Maybe now that the "physical" is starting to be transcended, maybe we can meet as human beings to negotiate and coexist peacefully. We MUST acknowledge our animal roots and find a way that is free of "dominance and control" issues. After all, is that not our GIFT as humans? Intelligence and the ability to transcend?
BTW, David Marcus: Did I not ask you if you were riding a 650 Bonneville?
