All cons eventually unravel as this con has been in front of our very own eyes. The sad thing is that this new President Elect has already received more death threats than any other President Elect. Who feeds the biases and hatred of those who threaten? The very same con job perpetrators in my opinion and they will share the blame if anything happens to this man. I applaud his immense courage.

Wisdom, I'm not sure I agree with the fact that a con job was perpetrated on the moral conservatives. 1) I think with Roe V Wade being in place for so long now, the moral conservatives are into the next generation now and they realize they have to take what they can get. They have made small victories across the county with parental notification and fine tuning when an abortion can be performed. Personally, I think they should accept that there is a "choice", and spend their resources encouraging ladies to choose to not abort. 2) In the last election the population of four states voted against marriage for gays. Regardless of your point of view on the subject, the moral conservatives won this round...more to come. 3) I think you hit upon a key thing that has occurred during the last 8 years that has pissed off the fiscal and the moral conservatives. Their political platform calls for less government. But with the gutting of oversight, they have seen the true nature of business leaders. The lesson has finally been illustrated that oversight is a necessary evil. People, of all political persuasions will take advantage, if there they aren't held accountable. Like I teach my managers at work, "Inspect what you expect".

These hate mongers share the blame if anything ever happens to this man, his family, or any other African American or minority or their supporters because of this type of hateful lying. I know where you are coming from with this statement kaerupix but you have to be careful as there are those who are ignorant enough to believe the phrase that you used. I cannot even type it as it is so inflamatory and false. It is what will drive many to try to take the life of this man and his family. Some in our society have come to sound like the KKK. I am forever grateful that I do not live in a part of the country that accepts this type of hateful rhetoric.

If they wanted to end abortion, then they are certainly going about it the wrong way. It does not need to be illegal if it is unnecessary.

This is going to be a strange trip to say the least. A contract in one state, but not another? A right in one state but not another? A right this year, but not next?

Personally as long as I am not forced to marry a homosexual, I do not care. I do not understand the opposition to gay people marrying each other, on biblical grounds or coffee grounds.

I think the whole thing will get a lot more complicated/worse before it gets better, unfortunately. I'm not even sure the U.S. Supreme Court can figure this one out yet. They may need some other legislation to come through and get challenged before they involve themselves in it.

Regarding the Bible and what Jesus says...I believe the premise is that he would love the sinner, not the sin. The acts of homosexuality are specifically referred to as sin in the old and new testament...but the part that Christians often times ignore and/or dismiss is that being homosexual isn't a sin. Also, Jesus taught folks to love others...that gets forgotten too...IMHO
