I know that many people have experienced conflict, rejection and frustration with religion, faith and spirituality. As a gay man and an ordained minister, now more universally spiritual, I would like to explore this area with others who have either gone through the same thing and have come to comfortable terms or with those struggling with it still and need someone to bounce thoughts around.
Because I am an ordained full-gospel minister--I seek primarily to help those who struggle with Christianity or with friends and family in Christian environments but the ideas and concepts are universal and can really apply to anyone in any faith.
As for me, I label myself a Christian Esotericist. That might not mean a lot to anyone else, so let me say that I am essentially a Christian who believes that all religions and faiths have their role to play and that my purpose on this planet is not to bring others to my religion but to see God in everyone I meet. Doctrins, dogmas and and differences of opinion are not as nearly as important as unconditional love, acceptance and tolerance of difference.
What is an estotericist? We divide into two groups. They mystics and those dedicated to more practical application of our faith. A mystic is focused inwardly and his or her sole purpose is to unite with God or to see that unification as reality. The practical esotericist's focus is both inward and outward. While, like the mystic, we seek to realize our oneness with God, we also believe that part of that mission is to help others along their personal path. I do not judge the path nor do I judge the individual but believe that the divine works through our interaction, that the primary vehicle of that work is unconditional love and that walking along the path together--even if for only a brief time, leaves both parties better off than before they had met.
So, if you are interested, we begin...Chat, talk, share ideas and if you'd like, ask questions.

Ever wonder how it all fits together? It's all a matter of perspective.
