My doctor gave me a blood test that was then sent to the lab at BetterHealth USA. They test you for food sensitivities, which can cause a wide variery of symptoms, from headaches to rashes to gastro ailments, etc.
Once you find out the foods you are sensitve to, you are not to eat them for three months, which should get rid of most of the sensitivites and the symptoms. I was sensitive to corn (including corn syrup, corn meal, and any other ingredient from corn), yeast (bakers and brewers) and a few others. I lost about 5 lbs, which was not much at all, but I lost a lot of inches. My friend has been on it for about a week and has lost 6 lbs already. It's not necessarily for weight loss, but it helps because you find out which foods are not good for you individually.
If you're interested in finding out more, they have a website at www.BetterHealthUSA.com.
