I was out in the yard early this morning to check on the "green things" popping out of the dirt. Spring has arrived in Michigan and the April showers are working .. ! Loh and behold ..there were two little purple lilly sprouting. I laughed to myself and had a very very fond memory of one of those "youngling passion moments" that I will never forget while on vacation with my wife.
We were in the UP of Michigan and walking along Lake Superior shore line. At one point we had to walk inland several hundred feet to get around a bunch of rocks and old trees etc. This detour opened into a small grassy area ,, the sun was shining brightly and well, it was nice and warm and "very deserted"..I am sure your imagination can fill in the rest of the story.
While we laughed at ourselves, Y-von noticed these little purple lilies. So we picked some and got the seeds. We planted the flowers and the seeds when we got home.
Every year, these little lilies come up and I go inside and say to Y-von .."guess what .. the passion lilies are blooming" ..we smile and remember our youngling moment !
