I have no experience with this. Did have a patient a few weeks ago. A lovely 50 year old woman, quite beautiful. Told me her new husband had spent quite a bit of money for this service. This was in Phoenix I believe. They are Jewish and so that narrowed the search. The matchmaker contacted this woman, these two corresponded for a few months, as she lived here in Denver. They met in March, got engaged in May and were married last October. She is absolutely glowing.

Small world. She and my sister were neighbors 15 years ago when she was married to her 1rst husband.

I told her she rekindled my belief in happily ever after. So I think it certainly is an option.

No way. If I was given a face-to-face interview, I shudder to contemplate what sort of woman I'd be set up with.

Ugly, psychologically twisted, a few major perversions, believes in sex as a religious experience, and dressed in S&M goth.

On the other hand, this could be the sort of match I really need.

I went to a service back in the "80's", went through the interview and waited. Got a call and went to meet my new friend. Met this nice lady, we dated several weeks. Was introduced to kids,family, and friends. SEx was really good. Then one day I go home from work and find a 357 bullet taped to my mail box. Rather odd I think, until I recieve a phone call telling me to stay the hell away from his wife.

Was unnerving. Asked my lady what was going on. Told, yes she was married,but seperated and working on marital issues. Needless to say I got my but out of their, informed the dating service, went to the bar, had a beer and thought " oh well "

A friend of mine met her husband that way. Matchmaking services are like anything else in the dating/mating game--hit or miss. My friend got lucky. Many (most?) don't.

I answered a matching service ad on internet about 2 months ago. Still waiting for somebody to call me, lol. Thats's in Pittsburgh area.
