This answers another question posted who has greater expections women or men. Rest my case. Got you!
Oh, thank you SusieQ321. I was starting to think that I am the only one that thinks this way. Big relief. I have my requirements. If I don't get what I want, why bother?

Elaborate please... do you mean my expectations of someone who is attractive and can keep up with me in a conversation possibly challenge me... is expecting too much.... huh... that is a new one I never knew I was supposed to compromise and be unhappy rather than expect out of people what I expect out of myself.
I expect me to be well read, able to converse on a variety of topics, to present myself in a good light at my most attractive (1st impressions do count) And since I am very confident in who I am and that I a good person and a great friend why shouldn't I expect that?

You say "expectations" like it's a bad thing!?! A person has to have SOME sort of expectations in order to know when they've found what they're looking for.
"brains and confidence not cockiness or arrogance"
This is not too much to ask for. It's the basic groundwork for an intelligent and appealing person. Cockiness, arrogance and being judgmental are a BIG turnoff to ANYONE, men and women alike.

It sounds like your seeking a twin but in male form? Are you easily made unhappy? Well read? Is this really that important? Discuss a number of topics? Always look attractive even after working a long day? Someone who is very confident like you. People have said you are very attractive and based on many things you have written here smart as well. Then how do you explain why your still single. I also don't believe you have been married. I still stand behind my statement more expections. More requirements. Although most of what you require falls into subjective it still has kept you away from a relationship. There seems to be a wall blocking you. Self generated.

Some basic expectations would be better and lead to more connections with more people. There are people who enjoy cockiness in a man? When it is justified. Most are judgmental. It just doesn't become an issue to others when they agree with the judgment.
P.S. You probably didn't vote for Daffy, too?
