Body type. Age range. Where they live. What they say in their requirements usually isn't true. Men and women fish in a similar fashion. Dropping the bait but throwing back most of the fish it attracts. Even when the fish that response to the ad fit what is said.I will just drop a note saying have you seen my profile? After all it's a numbers game anyway and the woman usually picks the man. I figure since many women are visual even when they claim they are not.I will tell them that I'm always told I look better inperson. I give them a chance to select someone who means what he says. Someone I know trys to be a good person. Someone who has interests that are universal. Since I truly believe it is better to keep it simple because you never know who they really are from a internet ad. Go with the basics and see if it leads to a reply from them? Then I suggest a phone call. Giving them my phone number and sometimes best time to reach me. If they call? A number of women like to play the "man game". Say they will and don't. If they call and it goes well? Then I suggested meeting in a public place in Manhattan.

As shallow as it may sound it's the physical attraction first. You cannot believe what you read. It's like a resume, some write well, some don't, some come across funny while others are boring and serious, and when you get to know the person you can bet they are different from their profile. So it's the pic that attracts, then you may read on, wink, chat by email, call and finally meet. You may weed them out somewhere in there but you were physically attracted first. IMO if you are not visually impaired you have to be physically attracted or you are not attracted. Sure you may fall in love with the accent, the voice, the wit, the charm or the BS and when you meet - EEK....he/she totally does not meet your expectation or your type.

What will really get me going is a juicy turn of phrase combined with a common interest or two. SInce much of online networking is through correspondence, I am attracted to people who show that they'd be a delight to write. Whether that proves true or not is the next chapter.

I like people who show some wisdom, some spiritual consciousness, and a playful erotic spirit. Someone willing to think out of the box a little. Ideas are an aphrodisiac for the soul, and when someone shows a creative flair, I'm interested.

Photos are intriguing, but they reveal little. Have you ever seen a real live Big Mac that looks like the photo?
