Why do you ask this questions?

I look at how they show me, telling there freinds and family about me, wanting to know what i like and dislike. just... action speaks louder than words.

Just a guess.. The one that left you the notes didnt live with you at the time or you saw each over a period of time.

That note might have been an old note that you didnt find till then.

Communication might have been the problem with both of you. I think either listening, expressing or hearing (all).

When you have conflict, does the person stick to the issue and focus on negotiating a reasonable outcome, or dig in heels and call you nasty names? It's all about behavior. Not words.
