For me part of it is what I find attractive physically.... there are exceptions to every rules but over all I white white men top my list on the attraction scale. There are many black men I also find attractive a few asian guys who are off the scale... but mostly I find the physical features of white men stand out to me more and strike a cord in me.

With that said I have dated outside my race no problem as long as the man is attractive inside and out there is no issue for me dating black, white, pink with purple podka dots.

When I was younger and still wanting kids I consiously chose to have my children with the same race as myself.

Now that I'm permanently finished having children and have moved on to a new direction in my life I don't see race as a deciding factor in who I would choose to date, perhaps marry.

I have always had an interest in different races; my great aunt married a good looking mexican doctor. Of course, when I was a teenager, dating boys from another race was taboo with my parents. I fell in love with a white man and had three kids with him. Marriage is over, kids are adults and now it is my playtime, LOL. I am attracted to black men more so then white men hands down. I dated,for about 3 years, an East Indian man, he was also quite attractive. If I had it my way as a young adult, I would of probably married someone outside of my race. My son prefers outside of his race as well. I wonder if it runs in the genes, LOL??

My friend suggested for me stop looking and go to meetups and maybe meet some people there but if you are looking to date people of a race different then yours it isn't that simple. Now with the internet it gives us more ability to do so, of course, finding an honest, caring man on the internet is a whole other story, no matter what race! LOL

I said that because if I were seeing a white man at the time and he'd asked me I would've married him...I'm open to either, it's just who steps to me first and in the right way...I've done the online interracial dating thing but I've never thought about finding a interracial 'meet and greet' meeting...Living in the south I don't think there'd be too many of those because some people can't seem to shake the peer pressure even though they're grown...But that is a good idea

Great question. I have never been one for color coding. I have met a lot of wonderful (and not so wonderful) people by living without judging someone by his/her color. There are too many other things that might ruin a relationship without worrying about color. As a couple of posters in this thread wrote, step to me in the right way and with the right qualities and you can be white, black, pink or green. My appreciation of a man depends on the man not his color.
