Most of us guys would go with the looks. But a very good personality could make her more attractive. So if you think your not that attractive looking? Try to take an honest look at your personality and see if you present a likable confident person?
My personal opinion is that personality rates a lot higher than looks when looking for a mate. Handsome has never made the man. But, the ability to converse, a decent sense of humor, the ability to appreciate what or whom should be appreciated are all key qualities in what I consider attractive.
Definitely for a relationship personality. Most of my long term relationships started as friendships first.
What would matter more...personality or looks?
Since I'm blind, I'd say "personality." (just kidding about being blind) "Seeing" a glimpse of one's heart, soul, and mind is more meaningful than one's exterior appearance...
A great personality can certainly make up for looks. And when I say 'looks' I mean 'what's attractive to me', not necessarily what's considered good looking by societal standards. I need attraction - in whatever form that takes. I've found that long term attraction requires a combo of 'looks' and personality. Of course, personality includes brains in my book. Give me a man with brains and THAT's sexy! ;-)
