I'm in my early fifties, attractive and my profile is a completely accurate representation of my size, age, etc.
I've met many men through online dating, and the predominant theme seems to be this. We agree we're both interested, and he asks for a second date. We make specific plans on what to do on the next date; and he says he'll follow up with an email or a call, and then does not.
If you're not interested, just say so. It's no problem. Why lie about it?
