Hi, I am new to tbd. com, & am truly enjoying checking out the different sites! It's wonderful to locate a group that also practices the mind/body connection via meditation. My practices evolve, but are fairly simple; & include daily TaiChi & a 20 min.meditation, taught to me 3 yrs. ago by a master teacher.. My latest revelation came from reading the talented, funny writer, Elizabeth Gilbert's, new best-seller, "Eat, Pray, & Love". In her book, she discusses being awakened by feeling a spirituality speak to her, during her difficult divorce. She is then called to travel to Italy, then India, where she practices various meditations, mantras, etc., in an ashram. Lastly, off she goes to Bali. Her shaman, or medicine holy- man, teaches her to find enlightenment & inner peace. One of his simplest meditative practices that he taught her was to just sit quietly & smile! Thanks for mentioning some of your meditation techniques, practices, & peaceful ideas!
