Ok, I posted this question in the evolution thread and was asked to start a new thread with it so here goes:
I hear people throw out the concepts of 'going to heaven' vs 'going to hell' all the time and I'd honestly love to know exactly what do you envision each of those places (or states of existence perhaps?) to be? Do you see them as physical places? If so, what will existence there be like? What sorts of things do you see happening or how do you see your existence there? Eternity is an extremely long time and I have difficulty envisioning anything even lasting for an eternity much less being enjoyable for that long. And I'm not being facetious or attempting to bait or offend anyone, it's something I've actually wondered about since it's such a fundamental part of most western religious beliefs
