By judging you, your sister is revealing more about herself than she is about you.

I also think that when people judge, it is an attempt to control.Everything has to fit neatly into one of their little boxes. Anything outside the box is BAD! I also think that being judgmental replaces independent thinking. For example, if you're not my religion, you're wrong. Period. Nothing to ponder.

You can be mad at your sister. You don't have to speak to her or anyone else who can't treat you with respect.

Oh, and another thing, the people in my family who are the most judgmental are the ones with the most to hide! They always have to make someone the "black sheep" so as to keep the focus off of them. You'll probably find out someday that the judgmental people are the ones reeking with scandal. If they keep you off balance by pointing out all of your shortcomings, then you won't have time to look behind their verneer and see them for who they really are.

My sister is the total opposite from myself, Thats why i don't keep intouch as much, she just doesnt understand what im going through, your right' she just trys to be in control. "The sad part about her" is shes always was in competition with her own twin. Now she has my own grown son thinking im some kind of depressed loser, Im just going to not be botherd with she or my family for a while ,

she shouldn't have cross me, She's telling my father that i need meds, maybe i do? But thats my choice. IDK. i'm just going to stay away for a while "let them wonder".you think?

Nobody is forcing you to listen to her. It sounds like she is a very hurtful person and uses her religion as a battle axe to beat you down.

Well, unless she has a letter signed by God Almighty her interpretation of religion is just that - her interpretation.

I have come to learn that you are a wonderful person who is helpful and caring of others here. Don't allow her to rain on your parade. She might be your twin, but she is not your conscience. That is Jiminy Cricket and he is doing a great job without the likes of her.

Something interesting happened today, Thassan.

I have a friend who is extremely judgmental. I care about him a lot and that's the only reason why I haven't tossed him on his head yet!

We go way back. We dated in college in the '80's. He always thought we would get married, but it didn't turn out that way.

We lost touch for about 16 years. We've been back in touch for the past year and a half. He lives 3000 miles away. Married. Three little kids.

He's always preaching about how people should be married, and shouldn't cheat, and traditional roles according to the Bible and people shouldn't go around having kids with different people, and people have no morals and everyone is going to die of AIDS, an on and on. He's famous for telling people what they should do.

He knows I'm divorced but would still get on his soapbox about all the poor, pathetic kids from broken homes. He bragged that at the daycare, his kids were the only ones from an intact family. He would tell me I need to grow up and find someone to be married to because at our age, people should be settled down, blah, blah, blah...

Well, sadly, his wife took the kids and walked out on him the begining of March. I always knew it would never work because he tried to turn her into a housewife when all she's is a hoodrat. I felt bad for him and I've been a friend to him as he goes through his divorce. But this is what happened today--he let it slip that when he was dating his wife, she was already married! He always impled that she was just living with the guy and moved when the two of them got together. Well, the truth slipped out today.

So my whole point is, Thassan, see what I said about those being judgmental also being the ones with the most to hide!

I'm not going to judge him but I'm going to make sure he feels the lesson in this.

For someone that needs medication, you sound like someone who is reasonable and nice. Whatever you're going through, I hope it works out and if you decide medicine is for you, you need to decide on your own and there's nothing wrong with that. If I were you I would act real calm around your son and let him know you need time to figure some things out. The same goes for your sister. They're probably worried about you but that does not give them the right not to trust you to come to your decisions. Tell them you're working on it and you'll talk to them later. Then take a much needed break.
