Withdrawn as text was misconstrued....

And what you got was one doctor and one therapist's generalization. It's as helpful to an individual situation as hearing average height, weight or income in setting your own personal goals. It did nothing to tell you what to expect about sex with your wife after her menopause.
The fact is that many women have a loss of libido because of hormone decline, because of physical changes in their lubrication or body shape, because of their feelings about aging, negative thoughts about their relationship, and for several other reasons.
The fact is also that many women show a renewed interest in sex because they no longer fear pregnancy, because they don't have a monthly period of feeling less than top form, and for other reasons.
So your best source of information about your wife IS your wife. She is an individual and not "the average woman"...if such exists.

Amen, Isadora. Thank you for this post.

Thanks again Isadora. My libido skyrocketed after menopause and I really thought something was wrong with me. Fortunately, my doctor (a wonderful woman)told me this was perfectly normal. I find it amusing that the same condition can cause such dramatic differences and still all be "normal" but it seems that's the case. Thanks for reminding us to treat ourselves (and each other) as unique individuals.
