I went to a small arts event today. there was a young college student with her pottery terribly underpriced. i told her to up her prices, that her work was beautiful.
she said what every artist i ever met seems to say "I struggle with pricing my work."
I do too. What about any of you? On the advice of a friend, i re-upped some prices of some of my pieces and am hoping it brings a sale. the thought seems to be, if you price things too low, people will not think it is very good (no matter how great it is), and they are more likely to seriously consider if the price is higher.
Any comments?
