Age is a state of mind. Some people are old fogies at 29 and others are dynamos at 60+. It is about several important elements:

Defy the numbers. Contribute as an equal ... even if you know more than anyone, don't act like you do.

Listen to everyone and learn from them.

Share what you know without being condescending about it.

Don't expect to be treated like a peer socially. If you are - wonderful. If you are not - also wonderful. Twenty-six year olds really don't have too much in common with a 50+ except at work. On Friday, your paycheck will tell you that you are a peer!

Always be there for others even if they are not there for you. Act like the parent of adult children. When you color them like children, they color you gone.

NEVER use the words, "In my day." Today is the only day there is.

Use your knowledge as if you learned it this morning. Be as excited about a concept as when you invented it in 1967.

Kudos to her! Today's 50 is yesterdays 35 so go for it! I'm in my fifties and have no problem selling my skin care to woman from teeens to 90 so ladies we can do whatever we want. It's all in our minds.
