I still have a buzz from the "The World is Flat".
I am currently listening to "Getting Things Done". Has anyone read/tried the methods that David Allen puts forth in GTD?

Dave, I think I answered this question from you elsewhere on TBD:-), but thanks for starting this thread. I'm a big reader of business books and love to hear about more.
I really like Getting Things Done, and though its not simple or quick to implement, his recommendations done even in small bits have made a big difference for me.
I love the World Is Flat, the Lexus and the Olive Tree, and will read just about anything else Friedman writes.
Currently working on How by Dov Seidman...not very far into it, but the principle so far really resonates for me.
Also LOVED Microtrends by Jonathon Penn, its an easy and really illuminating about what our society actually looks like, despite the pervasive stereotypes, and the astute reader will find lots of unserved markets in its pages.
My to read stack is shrinking, anyone have others to recommend?

I like StrengthsFinder 2.0 (Rath). I especially like the last half of the book, which details how teams can better utilize the strengths of each of it's members to raise the bar on performance and job satisfaction.

I procrastinated but finally bought the audio cd version of "Now Discover Your Strengths".
I found it very insightful and highly recommend it (including the free personalized "strengths" analysis that is included).
For those of you not willing to depart with $23...I will give you the abridged take aways;
Stop putting energy and bandaids atop your weaknesses.
Stop asking your subordinates to do the same.
Identify and surrender to your inherent strengths and leverage those into the right career.
Stop swimming upstream and hang 10
