iam in my early 40s but !! age has no binds on friendship. depending on what one is capable of doing depends on the answer . if its warm enough outside you could invite a few nabors over for a barbq. or small cocktail party, or quant dinner, if you like playing cards you could invite them over for cards and snack trays. or send out invitations for a barbq at your town park. and enjoy the company / walks and chat. check out city for entertainment ideas like bingo night, or your basket ball team, baseball, or if your town has a small coffee shop most city's and towns do. you may be surprised how many folks go there just to chat, and enjoy coffee read a news paper. your churches some times have buffet dinners its a great place / way to meet others, also most churchs will be willing to give tranportation ..by the way my name is Grace. nice to meet you

Do you have a library nearby? Often, they can sponsor brownbag discussions that can bring people together.

Some McDonald's have Bingo get-togethers after breakfast. If you have one nearby, you could ask or suggest that they do it. Lots of people come out for the socializing.

You might want to check out volunteer opportunities at your local hospital, where women get together to do good deeds and at the same time, make new friends.

What are your hobbies? You might start a club at the library and teach others.
