One of the most crucial things a manager/leader does is give feedback on a regular basis--formal and informal feedback.
The performance review season has probably ended for the majority of you, so I thought it would be interesting to hear about the best performance reviews you've experienced.
Not the high marks you received, the big bonuses, etc., but instead tell us about what your manager did that made it a great review for you.
What did he/she say or do? How did he/she create the best environment for the review?
It would easy for us to talk about the worst reviews, so let's not do that.
Focus on sharing best practices so we can learn how to hold effective reviews with our direct reports.
Hoping to hear your thoughts!
