Could we do a round up of all the authors we've mentioned so far?

I'm wondering if someone in the group could go back and check all the discussions and give us the different authors that have been mentioned. Then we could begin to add other favorite authors.

As a newbie (is that a proper word?) I would most definetly find such a list useful as I am always looking out for `new` authors to try. At present I am re-reading "The Family at War" by Mary Jane Staples it is set in WW2 period.
