What am I doing here? Is this a brainy site where people discuss ideas or a friendly site where what happens will just have to happen. My opinion most likely wont matter, but I do have opinions. From politics to what to wear I can have an opinion. So I hope this doesnt scare anyone or offend you either.So, if you have something interesting you would like an opinion on give me a notice.

Try submitting this query from the home page under "start a discussion". This is for general discussions, such as yours. To have a political discussion, consider joining a group like Heffalumps and Woozles (I think that's the name), or for a more spiritual conversation, try the group The Golden Rule. There's a group for almost anything. This group, TBD Site Feedback, is to give you feedback on the website; problems you're having, suggestions for improvement, that sort of thing: what you want the staff to hear.
The search function kinda sucks, so one way to find groups is to click on people you like...then see what groups they belong to.

Guess what! She has a brain and things she's interested in. There are links to pages to start with on the front page, and then, click Groups at the top of the page to take you to check out the groups and see what is going on in groups.
Search doesn't suck, you just have to use your brain when using it.

Please don't allow the preceeding discussion to give you the wrong impression. The answer to your question is yes. This site is filled with people from diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and personalities. You will have no problem finding like-minded people to discuss anything from the existential to the mundane--whatever your heart desires.
As suggested, check out available groups AND jump in anywhere and any way you choose. There's something for everyone here. Regardless of what you're looking for, I guarantee on any given day, you'll find some really great people to share ideas with or simply hang out and laugh.
