This is just a post to remind you all of the messaging we sent out last month regarding our new Friend Finder feature, which will roll out in the next few days as part of a revamped registration experience.

A lot of you have requested an easier way to invite your friends toTeeBeeDee, and to search through member profiles for people you already know. The Friend Finder will enable you to invite your contacts from your webmail address books (like Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, and AOL), and will allow you to search for contacts who are already on TeeBeeDee. If it turns out one of your webmail contacts is already on the site, you’ll be able to add him or her as a Friend (provided they've elected to make their email address findable by other TeeBeeDee members).

If you’ve been a member for more than a month, and you’d like to allow your contacts to find you, you can opt in to the feature by going to your profile and adjusting your account settings.

For members who have joined the site within the last month, your default setting is “Members can find me through this email address.” If you want change your status you can opt out of this by going to your profileand adjusting your account settings.

When the Friend Finder goes live in next few days, only new registrants will be able to use it during the sign-up process to find their contacts. That said, soon you’ll be able to use this tool for any Groups that you’ve started or are a member of. It will also be available on the Friends page of your profile. We hope it makes networking a whole lot easier.
