What are the parameters of the search for members who live near you?

I'd like request a filter, or at least a sort, by recent activity.

Browsing only to click through to discover that the person hasn't posted in 146 days is a frustration. Posting is probably not the best measurement either. I know that I read a lot more than write on this site. I also happen to listen more than I speak.

I respect that some people might have privacy issues, so perhaps a sort by recent activity would be the best approach.

In addition, it's not helpful if the parameters consider FL close to TX, which they do.

Hi justinlookin, Good suggestion. As it happens we're looking into more tools and ways of displaying temporal information on profiles, so there will be updates to come.
