Spot on, Vivian (I've always loved that name)! Your analogy to conception and fetal growth was interesting. Certainly, each compares to artistic creativity, both requiring an initial mood/idea, followed by those tiny special bits you referred to, coming together to form a germ, and the subsequent substantial growth and development into fruition.

My mother is a quilter, so all those small bits are all continually joined as one. A colleague I work with is a sculptor, where idea conception, and the tiny consequences from pieces of instruments hitting stone result eventually in a transformed piece of marble.

My work is crochet. I hope to eventually, better yet sooner, make a living with my beaded wire crochet jewelry. I also have started making some thread crochet items I hope to market. Does anyone have marketing skills/ideas?

I also do crochet with yarn but that is mostly for gifts.
