My creativity is taking me on a long and interesting trip into the world of an exhibiting fine artist in both juried and non-juried shows.

Competing at a professional level after a 20+ year hiatus is a completely different experience this time around. I find it positive, good motivation to keep working, and have started meeting some really cool peeps doing this.

My goal is to have two incomes and no longer depend on my service as graphic artist and designer to generate alllll of my income. The market is flaky, I ended up with no work for two solid months at the end of the year, no income, and not eligible for unemployment benefits this winter. Let me just say, "IT COMPLETELY SUCKED."

I love spinning (and I accidentally (mostly) bought my spinning wheel on ebay when I was showing my mother-in-law how bidding worked.) I am so glad I did! By the way, you don't have to process the wool. You can spin it in the grease or just wash it yourself. I also like spinning in the grease - that is how all those Irish fishermen sweaters were semi-waterproof, you know!
