I to would like to vist there. Went to Washington State last yr. Found it to be a lovely state, all nice and green up where I was at,and would like to go back for a longer vist.

We went on an Alaska Cruise in 2004 having marvoulas time.

Have a BIL living up there. Sends pictures all the time. Beautiful. Would love to visit but farming keeps spring and summer for hubby. Winter is not my time to visit Alaska.

I am over here in Western Wa, where the scenery is lovely though too expensive. I have always loved winter myself. My best winter was when I lived outside of Ottawa....tons of snow and below zero temps. FANTASTIC!

Hi! Well, I'm no expert, although I would like to be. ;) I too took a cruise from Vancouver to Alaska and we went in June. From what I understand, June and July are perfect months in which to visit, as the humpback whales have made their yearly migration up from California/Mexico with their calves, so there is a lot feeding activity and whale frolicking, if that interests you. I can't tell you how many whales we saw, both humpback and orca, as well as seals, and the eagles are Alaska's answer to seagulls. They were everywhere. You will never feel so insignificant and awe-inspired in your life again.
