I know from experience that most people that are dieing have a need to be treated as they always have been treated. They need to laugh, and keep doing things they love to do. And they need the people they love and who love them to keep coming around. When they get to the stage that they can not do much. Then they need those people even more, to talk to them , read to them, visit with them, and laugh with them. Just be there for them. Hold their hand, let them know in what ever way you can that you are there for them. If they can still talk , you need to let them say anything that they need to say or get off their chest. And when the time is near. They just need to know you are there. They need your touch. your voice, your love. They just need to know you are there until the end. Most important, never be afraid to hug or touch them. They really need that.
What do you think someone who is dieing needs from you?
