I visited a small office the other day where the whole professional staff seemed to get along well, but they unanimously disliked the owner.

Through networking, I know that the boss is intolerant of different ethnic groups and orientations, and is very loud about it, shouting epithets across the office. One staff member commented that (the owner) "wouldn't last a day in a real company."

Staff members talk about who will be the first to leave and don't even care about being subtle about their plans to leave.
