I noticed I was the 13 person to advise about Interacial matters,being the only baker,I knew

,was black,and he always gave more than 12 cookies,for a bakers dozen.

And beings I haden't thought about him for over 55 years,It became a good memory.Just because of this group,I wanted to post my thanks to the web group.

I would like to respond, First, I dont understand the point! but to start a converstion. Im from an interracial parents, My father is mixed with african american, and caucasian and my mother is indian, Unfortunately sometimes I have Had problems within my own race, dealing with african americans, not belonging especilly women, But I still claim to be an african american on my application, I have gotton to know my mothers side as well. Some people have a problem with the outside, you just have to get to know the inside before anyone can judge

And 13 cookies is called a baker's dozen,it ment,that good baker,always made sure his customer got extra from him,for the money,when I was a kid.And beings I'm a extra size guy,helped me think of the baker,So thanks to you too.

I think racism in the community depends on the community that you live in. I have lived so many places but did not face in your face racism until Augusta, Georgia. The races are so divided here by black and white. I get it from both sides: black and white. I think people from both sides forget that I am white or that I have bi-racial children sometimes. I can honestly say the comments have left me speechless. I felt so alienated at my last job by the people in my department. I have said for years that I was moving when my youngest daughter gradutes. I need to be around like minded people.

I do not make an opinion about people until I get to know them. I honestly don't care about race. My older daughter jokes that if Aliens ever came to Earth, I would date one.

First ..enjoy your life as is .. don;t worry about the fine points ...the cat and dog will help you out there..I did notice you not mentioning Peanutbutter & chocolate chip cookies ..stay away from Tulsa..it will make you crazy !!

As for race, mixed, inter/intra breeding ? They call that Hienz 69 ..far fewer aliments in life than "pure bread"..it's the gene thing, yah know..!

English, Irish, French, algonquin, hillbilly, cherokee, American, German and a dab of south sea islander (according to family legend)..

If we got rid of prejudice, the race question on the employment application and census form would go away..or just move to Japan and it's a moot point !
