See Chopin's grave. It's in the Pere Lachaise Cemetery, the same cemetery where Jim Morrison is buried. Chopin's grave is always decorated with flowers by visitors, even in the winter. I found it to be very moving.

There's a great article in the NY Times about the Marais - it's where I stayed on my visit to Paris, and is a fantastic neighborhood!

There is a great canal cruise you can take. http://www.pariscanal.com/?lang=en is the link to their website. pariscanal@aol.com is their e-mail. It is inexpensive, the guide speaks several languages including English, and takes you for a wonderful tour of the city via canal boat. I have taken the St.Martin Canal trip twice. You can pick it up near the Orsay museum or up near the Science Park. They have maps on their website.

Take time to wander the streets and get a baguette and some cheese from a market and just discover the differences. The people in Paris are more like New Yorkers. Outside of Paris you will find the more casual, easy-going French people. They are wonderful.

Anything you see in Travel Posters! You'll want to be able to tell people you've been there! Don't forget to go see The Mona Lisa.

If your in to the Impressionist, the Musee D'Orsay is unbelievable. It's 5 stories of Impressionist paintings. It was pretty awesome to see some of my favorite paintings under one roof. And in Paris no less!
