I have to admit, I spend about 90 seconds putting on make up each day. I teach fitness so I end up sweating it all off each day. Like the tips though, I need 'em.

One thing I want to learn is how to achieve that smoky-eyed look. I haven't been able to "get it" and I'm hoping someone here can give a good explanation or some tricks to it.

LOL! Yes, me, too!!! I find, also, in this Texas heat, that my makeup tends to slide off of me before I can make it to the car, much less to work! What to do???

Michelle, I need to find out how and when to apply eyeliner at our age (50+). Any suggestions?

After you have applied foundation (I use tinted moisturizer because I don't like heavy make up - especially in the Texas heat), apply a light translucent powder, (the powder will help in the heat keep your makeup on.) I use an eye shadow foundation/primer on my eyelid but you can use a little foundation to set your eye shadow. Specially made primer helps to keep eye shadow from creasing or melting off.

Then apply your eye liner. I apply under my lash line, from the outside corners of my eye, to a little over half way across. I find that if I line all the way, it makes my eyes look smaller.

For day use, I don't line my upper lash line but for a night out, I will do the same to the uppers, just above my upper lash line. Additionally, I take the line out just a bit past each of the outside corners of my eye to extend my eyes.

I like to use a copper or bronze liner instead of black, it tends to enhance my eye color better. You should play with different colors to see what you like best.
