There are no rules for this, no "shoulds." The key is to know yourself. It sounds like you do. It sounds like you prefer phone conversations and face-to-face conversations to email. That's fine. If you meet anyone online, you might mention this, and suggest phone contact. The phone is still totally safe. If that's how you prefer to communicate, it's fine--if it works for you.

Phone sex seems more personal than cyber. I've had phone sex but cybering is just to akward for me to get into. I like to meet on line then move on to the next level. I think the two go hand in hand...

I find phone sex and cyber sex involve different skill sets. I have friends I just cyber with, I have friends I phone with, and I have friends who are great at both and it just depends on our moods and what we have the appropriate level of privacy for.

There are some friends I have cybered with for a long time and then tried phone with them where it just didn't work out. Usually in a case like that, it is like the imaginative part of the connection is lost.

I think with phone or cyber you get out what you put into it. With the right connection both can be great!
