We dont use any!

There are a lot of birth control issues to consider at every stage of reproductive life. There is no "best' method. There's only a "best method for us for right now." But there is a best way to decide what to use. Visit a family planning clinic--Planned Parenthood or some other facility. Call your local Public Health Department for information. Family planning counselors specialize in the advantages and disadvantages of each method.

My preferred method was a hysterectomy. Guaranteed no babies.

Don't take this personally, but the attitude that it is "always up to the women" is so jerky. If your pants are unzipped, birth control is your responsiblity, no matter which sex you are.

My daughter uses birth control pills AND condoms. She doesn't ever want kids but has been told she's too young to be sterilized.

I was saying that the burden is usually on the women, and was calling out that it isn't really fair, so I took the initiative to do more than practice birth control with condoms.

Thank God we no longer have to worry about BC! DH had a vasectomy at 40 and I recently had to have a hysterectomy, so we're doubly safe. If I were to get pregnant now it would truly be miraculous. LOL!

Coral, that totally right on. Not worrying is the point. I was asking the doctors where they performed the vasectomy, as well as my GP and they all said that the man got a vasectomy. I really think it is the way to go and would recommend it to all those who don't want to have more children. It is a little uncomfortable for a while and once in a while you can still feel it, but it is so worthwhile.
