Donnaka-- I'm a guy but I've read tons and tons on this and done some of my of my own...um, well.... experimenting with women! The overwhelming evidence on the issue of length versus girth is that girth, width, or thickness, is certainly most important in contributing to pleasure in vaginal intercourse. I am sure the women who respond here will tell you that this is true. Here is the bottom line: Average dick girth is about 4.85". Now, for reference, that's a tad smaller than the size of a toilet paper roll tube. And this girth is about the size that most women can feel fairly well. Not a great sensation, but good, but not really any vaginal stretching here and very minimal if any of the "full" feeling many women like in intercourse with a penis.

Moving up in girth, most women love but do not always find men with a penis of about 5.5" girth and up--and that's a bit above average and the low side of thick. However, at this girth, there is finally some desirable vaginal stretching and the beginning of the "full" feeling women love. This girth can be found on cocks of average length (5"--7") but more often is found on cocks of unusual length--8" or so.

Upward, when you have cocks even thicker, like 6" and 7" girth, you begin to have a very "full" feeling in intercourse and a bit of initial pain until your vagina is really wet, and then the pain subsides and the sensation is uncommonly pleasurable. Also in this range, cock length is often (but not always) at least 8" and up toward 10", which presents a possible problem of cervix banging--which is hurtful. On the other hand, if the gentleman does not "ram" the cervix, but pushes gently into it, and there is this huge girth, the woman feels "full" and the nerves up high in the cervical area are stimulated. In this girth and length, for some women, there is a whole body cul-de-sac orgasm and fullness feeling that sometimes shatters women's prior experiences of intercourse and takes them into a whole new realm of penile-vaginal sex.

And women begin to feel bad about the fact that a lot of great guys just can't provide this, and so when with men who are not thick (most men), using fingers and oral becomes more important and compensatory intercourse positions are helpful: doggie style, with a pillow under her rear, woman-on-top positions.

Now, when with men with big girth, these are not so necessary. Girthier men do not have to be as skilled and women do not have to work so hard---thick guys "ring bells" just by being inside (but they often fail women by assuming that's ALL they have to do---wrong!!)

Now it becomes complicated, which is probably why you posted this comment on TBD. Women can become self conscious about desiring bigger men. Afterall, mother did not tell them that this was true about cocks, and that this was okay, and most of the sex "experts" (including the TBD gurus) cannot admit that bigger girth is a whole other universe of intercourse pleasure.

Donnika, your girlfriends are right about liking thicker. You are, too. Don't worry!! It's a whole lot better, and that is okay.

Take heart, women are becoming less inhibited about this, and some are even stating their needs up front (see personals on line: "Must be at least 7" and thick.")

Now, few women really want to just find guys based just on their size alone. But let's face it, the sensation is singular, hard to beat, and great oral is not a substitute!!

But big men are about 20 out of 100 men-- most men cannot give you that "edge", hard to find. However, there are some women who can forgive this, are not into vaginal sex so much, or want nothing like this. There is so much variation!

But, for women who love intercourse, the bottom line is that, yes, of course, thicker is better, and more imporant than length.

And the optimal cock seems to be about 7.5" length and 6.0" girth--meatty-thick and kind of longish. I volunteer to be the control case. According to BillS's taxonomy I'm pretty much Mr. Average.

As a statistician, I recommend we do at least 30 trial per experimental condition, in order to give the sample statistical significance.
