Most people's ability to say "enough" is greatly influenced by the fact that sex (partnered sex, anyway) is seldom entirely ours to choose - no partner, or no desireable partner, or no willing partner, or not the partner we want, or not the kind of sex we want, etc.

I can remember brief periods in my life when I was with a partner who wanted what and when and how I did, a lovely state of affairs. This is seldom true for anyone for any length of time.

I was referring more to the fantasy of constant sex rather than the reality but I get your meaning.

I know some people who say they just like to play around for half an hour or so, or perhaps have a session for a few hours at the weekend. One guy I know back home has a wife who'll only let him go at it on special occasions such as his birthday or their anniversary. Personally, I couldn't live like that. That's not a healthy relationship to me.

I prefer long sessions at least four or five times a week. I have several 'special friends' I can call and I know at least one of them will be up for some action. It's important to me that my partners are into the same fantasies and role playing that I am. Some women are intimidated by how hard it gets, especially if they're inexperienced or not used to being with someone as skilled as me and if they're not into it I tend to lose interest myself. Long, drawn out sessions are much more satisfying to me than the occasional 'quickie' or an awkward fumble at lunchtime.

How much sex is enough?

If you have to stop and ask, then you haven't had enough if the two of you are still going at it.

Sex isn't a measurement, it's an expression. Some expressions last longer than others. Sensual sex can last for hours. Passionate sex resonates for long lingering periods of time and I don't me in just the moment. Its that feeling that stays with you both in your mind and your body.

So, how much sex is enough? I don't know because I never found the end of it.

Ummm, it's enough when you're satisfied. Okay, that was a lame thing to say. My brain must be on vacation.

Very eloquently put but have you never met anyone who represents their desire for sex as limitless? I am merely pointing out its unrealistic. I guess I am taking the hyperbole a little too seriously but it was just something I find interesting in human behavior.
