I think those assumptions have now faded into the sea of immorality. Many have had sex once or twice. Many say that because they don't want to appear loose. Not too many men carve notches on their guns any longer.

Free promiscuous sex, which proliferated after the birth control pill, shuddered to a halt with HIV. Even with condoms, protection is not assured. i think at that point, the masses began to turn inward to find what is the real meaning of sex, and what do the numbers mean. We have new phenomenons like Friends with Benefits, hookups, etc. Safe sex without involvement; just for its own sake.

There was a time when a wham-bam-thank you ma'am was a gas; it was the thrill. Now I am looking for something more. Emotion, love(?), or just the shared experience of life, as many of us have here. No one night stands for me.

Well, this depends on the who you ask... As for me:

There is no magic number. Passion and pleasure is not measure by how many tiles you can stack before you yell "Jenga". The internet has now opened a lot of flood gates of truth or dare and this is a good thing. Like here at TBD for instance. You and many others feel free to express your sexuality, ask deep yearning questions that you have been waiting to ask for years, letting out gasp and sighs of relief that "thank god, I thought I was the only one..."

But more to your question about "The Number". Anyone can have a "high count" but the numbers have nothing to do with the quality of the lover. When a warm, intimate, sensual, sexual woman is in my arms, I'm not thinking "boy how many have been here", I'm thinking about the way she is making me feel and the intense focus she has on me...

I have no magic number. I do look at a womans behavior and honestly I dont want to know what her "number" is. I can probably count my notches if ask but Id rather not.

I cant vouch for every man but I do believe some do still count thier notches and "keep score". I find it rather childish.

Its more about the person, wild teens can grow to be decent people, and the preachers daughter can grow to be very promiscous. Id rather deal with who the woman is now and Im more concened with how faithful she will be to me than how many men she has been with in the past.imho

This is a good question. Not sure theres a magic number. But I do know if a women was with lets say 4 guys in 3 years vs a woman being with 4 guys in 6 weeks. The latter is someone I wouldn't want to be with. So I guess depend on the situation. Good question though

A number is a number. It's where her heart and commitments lie that interest me. And trust me, if she's counting mine -- hope she has extra toes and fingers............
