So do tell....
Is it comfy for ya with the lights on, sun shining brightly in the room..Or is candle lite the only shred of light you want to be seen in making love..or having Mad Sex?...lol
Or does the room need to be in total darkness?
And if you want to take it one step further..Why?

Pitch black or love on the beach at noon. Or anywhere in between is fine -- if it is the right woman.
Not the right woman, who cares.

Hey Fromz, maybe the question should be: Lights on or lights off for the act doesn't matter; but when it comes to partners, if the porch light's on, does anybody need to be home? ;)
Posted: Apr 6, 08 7:25pm
I would agree...if it isn't the right person, all the effects in the world just don't matter...or make it what it should be.
Posted: Jan 11, 08 9:29pm
This is going to sound really bad, but it depends on who I'm with.
I have one lover where the more light the better. That tends fall into the "mad monkey sex" category.
My partner prefers lower light, not sure exactly why, but she does.
I don't have a personal preference, I just go with the flow.

As with all aspects of sex, I prefer variety. Sex on a dock under a full moon is wonderful! Sex in a bathroom, under the glow of flourescents is good, too. Usually lights on is best, but a surprise fondle in the middle of the night can lead to some pretty hot sex in the dark.

Makes no difference to me except certain things are fun to see as well as feel.

Lighting is ?
Insignificant
Posted: Jan 12, 08 8:48pm
BF I gotta agree with you on that - any way you can get it can be a nice surprise. I feel that who you are with is more important than what room you're in, lights on or off, candles and music yes or no, and I feel that when you stay with someone for a long time the odds are it will work out somewhat evenly in the end.
I didn't know frogs could let there tongues hang down and drool like that, I thought they always came zapping out your mouth in a sneak attack, that could be a way to get something started. Flick

No restrictions on lighting here.
Posted: Jan 18, 08 2:45pm
Funny but true. I like to wake up slow...I like love in the mornings so usually light isn't an issue. I think spontaneity is more important to good sex.

i am very confused by you. your frog is amusing....
...but why????

Hi Doreen,
Well for me I can make love in light or darkness. But ultimately I'm a romantic and I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvve candlelight.
Posted: Jan 12, 08 2:11pm
what she said....
Posted: Jan 12, 08 2:04pm
There is something about a thunderstorm that rouses the urge in me. Making love when the room is filled with occassional flashes of light, rolling thunder, and the continuous shushing sound of the rain is lovely to me. And if the night is still the moon or candles work well.
Posted: Jan 12, 08 2:11pm
....and what he said.
Posted: Jan 12, 08 8:53pm
Me too all that frission it the air, just hums around my body, and if the lightining gets really close so you almost jump out of your skin it just makes your heart pound
Posted: Jan 14, 08 8:51am
Dang, What He SAID!!!!
Posted: Jan 14, 08 9:43am
I love making love during a thunderstorm too. I was scrolling down to see if anyone had mentioned it.. (You beat me to it Michael).Very erotic to hear the sound of thunder & to see the lightening flash in the windows... I love the smell of the air after the rain too....Back to the question- I like making love in the dark and the light doesn't bother me either, I get even more aroused when I see what's going on. Sometimes I light candles; lots of candles.
Posted: Apr 16, 08 2:13pm
oh yeah. every time it thunders.... well. go figure.
Posted: Jan 12, 08 4:38pm
i like dark because i am self concious of my tummy lol! plus i am shy !!
Posted: Jan 12, 08 5:33pm
Why does it have to be one or the other? Many studies show that novelty piques erotic interest and makes sex more fun. So if you usually leave the lights on, try it with them off, or by candle light, or moonlight. If you usually turn the lights off, try it with them on. Whatever your routine, for more erotic heat, try something new.
Posted: Jan 15, 08 6:29am
ditto for me
Posted: Jan 12, 08 6:27pm
I like the lights on because I am a visual person. I like to explore, see , smell, touch, taste and be his entire body...every inch.
Who has time to light the candles. Just kidding...they are romantic. I have lit candles once...it was nice. I will take the time and do it again.
Posted: Jan 14, 08 5:08am
I think both set a different ambiance and at different times I like them both. As retired empty nesters, we find thatmore and more we ar having sex during daylight, so sunlight is on and there's not much we can do about it. There are certainly times, when nothing will beat a well prepared candle-lit room, but I'm really OK either way - depends on my (and his) mood.
Posted: Jan 14, 08 5:13am
I like to watch.
Why? It really is such an incredible system. Of course when I was just hearing about this my reaction must of been, "You want to put what? where?"
Now I'm amazed by it. (or I'm sure I would be again)
I see this act repeated in startling places. Like at the gym when the weights go up and down on certain machines. As I've said in other places, it doesn't take much to amuse me.
Posted: Jan 14, 08 5:15am
Its a mood thing for me. We made love Friday night in my bedroom with candles and then Sat while on a jet ski we stopped at a small deserted island in the middle of the Intracoastal and had hot sex outside standing in the sand. It was very exciting.
Posted: Jan 17, 08 4:52pm
What SHE said...
No wonder you liked the jet ski trip, MeAsMy!
Look at all those Inspirational Kudos. You know they are looking for jet ski rentals as I type this, right?
Posted: Jan 14, 08 7:38am
Candle light is so romantic I cant help myself if its planned...But if its not planned, Ive never been with a man who didnt want to see all that was going on...
Posted: Jan 25, 08 10:08pm
Candle light is good, But It really doesnt matter if ist lights on or off. It gets to be very Intense and hot, every time, especially with someone who Im very attracted to and knows what their doing.
Posted: Jan 14, 08 8:05am
I can't remember.
Posted: Jan 14, 08 9:18am
I like both, lights on is nice as I can see more
Posted: Jan 14, 08 11:14am
Lights on.... Lights off.
Moon Light... Sun light.
Water, surf sand..
I better go feed my cat!
Posted: Jan 14, 08 5:27pm
On, by all means! How are we supposed to maintain eye contact in the dark? I want to see my lover's response to my oral action. I want to look in his eyes when I'm riding him. The eyes are the windows of the soul... believe it!!! That's what Tantra teaches. It's very bonding.
Posted: Jan 14, 08 8:11pm
I'm not to pretty anymore, like I ever was, but I like the lights on I love to watch the breasts wiggle they way they do when you are pushing and shoving, it's really nice and very erotic to me.
Posted: Jan 15, 08 5:01am
On the couch or on the floor
In or outside of the door
In the house or on the lawn
If its dark the lights are on
A little dr suess 2 day
Posted: Jan 15, 08 5:13am
wow
Posted: Jan 15, 08 5:44am
I'm definitely a lights on person. If one feels intimate enough to have sex with someone, you figure that to see and be seen is well within everyone's comfort zone.
Then there's all that great stuff to see during sex. Who would ever want to miss that?
Sex is definitionally a full sensory experience. Why deny one of the most important of the senses?
Posted: Jan 15, 08 6:15am
Hogback, I generally agree with that.
I do suggest lights off allows a "sense" that light on kind of smothers to come into play: Imagination.
Low or no light also seems to enhance tactile sensations.
Still, with the right woman, a cloudless high noon on a beach is also fine.

There are always blindfolds to enhance the sensory experience. I like to play sensory awakening games anyway... fur mitts, feathers, ice cubes, whatever comes to mind... also feeding my lover little tidbits of exotic fruit (Did you ever try dragon fruit? It's the fruit of a vining cactus.)
Dragon fruit

I agree, Fromz. There are times to have the lights on, but low lighting does seem to make every trace across my skin tingle that much more.
Prefer a moonlit garden to a sunny beach, but if no one else is around ???

Why not split the difference...
Hey, who turned out the lights

Hey Gator
Is this not sex talk...why do you have to behave....sounds like the perfect solution to me....lol
Posted: Jan 15, 08 11:10pm
Oh yeah! Good point smartin! Extra kudos for you for the reminder!
Posted: Jan 15, 08 9:43am
Ok, ok..I'll behave *sigh*
I totally agree with Fromz and he said it perfectly in his first post. Of course, the last one was pretty inspirational too.

Posted: Jan 15, 08 12:06pm
DoreenBar, That is one nice picture, I REALLY LIKE THAT!!! I like candle light, some music, some oil, a massage, some slow motion, some kissing, some slow hand movements, some slow tongue action, THEN LETS GET IT ON!!!! So Hard and Fast the Candles blow out!!! WHEW!!! How's that! I haven't had any for awhile, soooooo sorry!!! Sorry no pictures either. Ooops!
Posted: Jan 16, 08 6:04am
Fromz:
Heck, with the right woman, I could be in a garbage dump in the middle of a horrendous storm and the atmosphere would be perfect.
Which actually may bring us to the true bottom line: it isn't about the lights; it's about the person.
