I was watching the hometown news yesterday and this morning. There was a story on there about a 75 year old woman who had murdered her 71 year old husband (they are thinking pre-meditated). That is sad but it is not the saddest part. The saddest part is the motive. She said that she killed him because he wouldn't quit asking her for sex and she just couldn't take it anymore. Not to be facetious but the first thing I thought was "Damn, that's a marriage that went on too damn long!" What does that say about relationships? What does it say about varying libidoes? What does it say about holding on too long to something that has obviously gone wrong (apparently not obvious enough in this case). I don't know the particulars of this case? There could be all kinds of extenuating circumstances of which I am not aware. But just taking it on face value, MAN, that just seems so damn sad!
