Hey, I am pretty new here and have greatly enjoyed the discussions we have all had. I am curious why people engage in these discussions.
For me, I enjoy the opportunity to be candid, and openly discuss sexuality in a way that most of my friends don't feel comfortable with. I think I have found some kindred spirits here.
I have on my profile page that I am not looking for cyber sex. I don't know if people read the profile pages. What I have noticed is that because I enjoy openly discussing my sexuality, some guys seem to assume that means I am trolling for cyber sex... or want to be talked to like I am a sex worker. I don't object to simple flirting, that is not what I am talking about....
I suspect this comes from the old stereotype that if a woman is open about her sexuality, she is cheap and doesn't require respect.
Men and women, why are you engaging in these discussions? And for the ladies, how do you handle the unpleasant, often disrespectful nature of some men's messages?
:) thanks
