Funny you should mention that. She actually used an Annie Lennox song in her show - "Here Comes the Rain Again". Very interesting and unexpected.

I'll give Madonna her good looks, but she does nothing for me, really. I wouldn't turn her music off...but Annie's...I'll crank her way up! She's so much better at selling a song. And, though I haven't heard Madonna's version(I'm sure it was good), it can't possibly hold a candle to Ms. Lennox's.

I don't know, I think Madonna is kind of nasty. Though I like that, I never really enjoyed her music, being an old time late 70's hardcore punk and headbanger who now has season tickets to the local opera. Really, if you think about, there is just as much sex and violence in opera as there is in contemporary music.

Jealous! I'd love to catch her show. Bet it was fabulous! As a matter of fact, this song was in my head as I was on Coral's post about "Feels Like the First Time" My thoughts on the song....She had been with men before, but they were all the wrong boys. She now met a man that she truly loves. You see in the video where the man takes off the beast mask and he's the handsome prince. It's the same ol fairy tale. Madonna was a HUGE influence in my life. She came around in the mid 80's when I was just 'discovering' myself.
