Superficial? I don't know. But as a man who, admittedly, is trespassing in this ladies only group, may I say I am mystified. What's the big beef with Hil? That she is not as charismatic as Bill?? Few of us are. That she didn't dump the big fella when he dallied with Monica? Most men and women don't dump their spouses for falling off that particular wagon. They like to say they do but they don't.

Pull for Obama. Vote for Edwards, but don't give the far right any more ammo that they are already making up about Hil. With the exception of Bush the Elder, she has more White House experience and savvy going in than any of our last five presidents. Let's not knock (too hard at least) the lady who may well be our best ticket out of today's mess. Lest we should wake up in '09 and discover Rudy grinning out at us from the Oval office.

Call me naive, but I get such a thrill when a candidate is asked a question and they really seem to be thinking, and produce an original answer which seems to have come from their actual beliefs/experience. So far the only two candidates who have thrilled me that way are Barak Obama and Ron Paul. I suspect that Hillary will try to prove she's as tough as any Commander Guy. Bill is the main thing she has going for her. What a mess.

O.K. Dave I agree with you on a lot of what you wrote but not everything. I am in the military over in the dust bowel right now with a lot of intelligent people. For clarification no one that I have had a discussion of politics with has put down Hillary. Obama is smart he graduated the top of his class so did Hillary. McCain graduated from the Naval Academy, Busch form Yale. What a lot of the people that I talk to all have the same issue what about looking out for the welfare of the the middle class? I have read how the middle class is doing so much better than their parents if so how come tuition for a good university has risen exponentially? Most middle income people 25 years ago bought a car with a 3-4 year loan now we can get a 6 year loan no problem. We have much better life expectancy than 25 years ago but we are also working longer. When social security first came into enactment you could collect your first check at age 62 oh yeah the average life span for a male back then was 58. No the social security system will not go bankrupt but we keep getting the age for when we can start collecting it extended. I do not think the politicians are looking out for the average citizen. Could you see if Harry Truman tried to run in todays political environment I feel he would not make.

I liked Hillary. But I think that all of the candidates are much less appealing now that the mud-slinging has begun.
