Elections may determine the future course of cash flow - the direction of flow. It will not have immediate impact on the things you have mentioned. The key thing is - who will stimulate American ingenuity, creativity and innovation? and, How? This is very tangible direction but requires a lot of courage. Historically, what has resulted in properity? - - it was industrial revolution; computer and software revolution in 80s followed by telecom transformation and Internet revolution. What is next? It is difficult to see - but, if ulterior motives of established institutions who stand to lose big could be controlled, there are some very attractive areas for innovation. Don't forget Kerosene companies were the giants before electricity became reality. And, do you think that invention happened easy - - that time giants delayed it as much as possible. Oil and auto companies of today are the Kerosene companies of yesterday - - they will ultimately need to change.

The current crisis and similar events will happen until Americans learn to change with time - - while free enterprise is good conceptually; it needs to be modified to reflect the current times.

Well, I see & hear it in my retail business and I am hoping for the best. Personally I think it is a great time to make some money (like you said, if you're brave). In my opinion I think it's a good time to get into the stock market and buy stocks that you wanted before and couldn't really afford to purchase a substantial amount. Greed plays a big role in our situation today. Here in Florida the house market went nuts and now we are suffering. It will turn around and there will be new players and different players on top.

The economy runs in cycles. This happens to be a down cycle, much of which is caused by the government.

I think business revenue will go down for some companies, but remain the same or even go up for others. It really depends on the business. For example, my architecture business is decreasing, while my marketing business is increasing.
