2004 I got a pacemaker because first I had tachycardia and after receiving medication to slow down my heart rate, then my heart almost stoped . In 2005 I underwent cancer surgery on my tongue and shoulder. And in 2006 my left hand first and than my left arm get swollen, so after a veinous duplex I found out that I had a Blood Clot in a vein close to my heart. I received lot of blood thinners but the clot did not go away. Recently Dr. ordered another veinous duplex to tell me that the clot offeres no danger anymore and there is no need and no way to remove it because, like the Dr said, it is glued on the vein like a stone.
Now because my left hand is still a little bit red and my left arm has not much circulation. My question is: Is there really no way to remove that clot or is this only my Doctors opinion.
PS one Dr. beleived the clot came from the pacemaker's connection to the heart. And anothe thik it came from the 9 weeks of radiation I received.
I appreciate comments an Ideas about that issue.
