I'm not sure what you meant by "So this is it". However, I think "It" is what you make "It" to be. Would love to know what you were talking about. I assume it is about your life and where you are at in life now. Of course, I've been known to be wrong.lol
Hi,started, wrote something, deleted what I could.I am in chronic pain with migraine and sometimes when it hits a high level,I may write something later that I dont want on here.
I love life, just want to be able to live it more and with this pain,I can't.It's hard for people to "get it" That you can have migraine that can destroy you.If I never had it,I wouldn't beleive me.
I use humor alot to get me thru.Friends in real life desert you.(except long distance, childhood friends)And you do mourn for who you were
Hey Marg,
I understand how you may write something when you are feeling bad and than later feel that it wasn't what you would post on a good day, but most of us can relate and it might even be good to post the not so positive end of things on occasion.
I also can relate to people not understanding what you're going through and thinking you should be able to live your life like nothings wrong. MS is one of those diseases with invisible symptoms as you probably know since your sister has it.
My best friend from childhood kept her distance at first. I don't think she knew how to deal with a good friend, her age, being sick with a chronic, life altering disease. She has come around since then.
I also agree with mourning who you were. Although, I don't as much as I did before. However, things haven't changed much in my condition lately. I think I could go thru that all over again if I become significantly more disabled.
I'm sorry that you suffer so much. Pain sucks! We all could use a magic cure for our health conditions, but will have to make do with what's available to us. Maybe they will come up with better meds and even possibly a cure.
Wishing you a pain free day.
hugs,
Holly
Has anyone on this site ever checked with their doctor about the use of Topamax for you migraine headaches. I take this medication for another reason but I was informed that it is now approved for migrane headaches. I have in the past taken it when I had a headache and it definitely lessens them.

Hi,yes.I know it's helped some people.I took it about five years and I have never had a med have so many bad side effects, for me.I thought I was going to die.And my dr was no help.Every side effect she said wasn't the topamax.
I never look up side effects, unless I'm having an issue.
I had burning in my hands and feet to the point it was painful.I got flulike symptoms.I had such fatigue.Even after I went off of it,I had a huge allergic reaction, breaking out in like hives.

My wife had migraines every day until I told her to stop drinking diet sodas. She was allergic to the artificial sweetener. Now our drink of choice is unsweetened iced tea.
I'd suggest that you try laying off the obvious stuff like artificial sweetener. If you don't pinpoint the cause, see a doctor for an allergy test.
Good Luck!
Thanks, done that, too.Went to just bottled water, nothing else.Healthy eating, accupuncture, massage thereapy, the only thing dr's tell me is maybe after menopause.I had an appt today, but they rescheduled for next week at the clinic.I'll suggest allergy shots, but now since my insurance company ripped me off,I have no insurance,so I doubt I'll get allergy tests done.
Oh,I even went caffiene free. Now,if I have one cup of coffee a day,it's alot.I've done green tea, colon cleansing, detoxing my body.I've tried upping my caffiene.
I've got a website mymigraines.com I've been dealing with migraine a long time.I've been coping with chronic for over 4yrs now.But always open to suggestions.
