Topamax for Migrain Headaches

Hi, I don't have migrain headaches, but I have had a couple of back operations and a lot of pain afterwards. I was given topamax for my back and just recently I have read many articles and talked with my doctor and they are now using the same topamax for migrane headaches. I'm thinking maybe you would be candidates for trying this medication. Just a thought.

I appreciate the suggestion.I tried topamax about 5 yrs ago and had very bad side effects.I usually don't get side effects from meds,this one,I had burning in my hands and feet so bad they hurt.

I got flulike symptoms.It was really bad.But for those it works for,great.Wish it had for me

I guess everyone has different effects with medicine. I know I have trouble with cold medicine, most of it makes normal people sleepy, for me it makes me hyper and raises my blood pressure. We are all such complex little machines, aren't we?

Yes,we are.I was really surprised,I started Zyrtec that I no side effects.I can't take other allergy/cold meds,they make me hyper

I've used Axert for my migraines for the past six or seven years. It works great for me and no side effects!
