That's funny about the shower. I don't mean "funny" I just mean funny.

i feel the same way about personal hygiene, showers in particular. You know you have to do it, you know you always feel better having done it...you just don't want to!!

It's the same thing with doing my hair or, some days, just getting dressed.

Even the tiniest and most necessary things like brushing teeth have become such a chore.

I have to appreciate the cats. They're so annoying that they force me to get up and get moving. i have to get up to feed them and that gets me a little bit motivated.

I used to love taking a shower. Now I am having so much pain it feels like hailstones pelting me. It's my only option though I have much too hard a time getting in and out of the tub. I will be quite honest and say that on really bad days I have a sponge bath, change my underwear, put on new pjs, brush my hair with a boar brush so the oil isn't all at my scalp (sometimes put in a little refresher spray too) brush my teeth (which also hurts now due to the sinus infection) and either go back to bed or sit and read etc. in my apt. When my friends come to visit I don't always have on something different than my pjs. My parents had company for dinner last week, my Mom asked me to at least put on sweats for dinner instead of my jammies.

Well, I didn't make it to the appointment...so he called me, which was nice. Did go to the store and immediately regretted THAT as people here burn wood in stoves etc. at night and that smoke reallly gets to me!

Finally managed that shower at 1:00 a.m...and I have to be up at 10:30 and it's after 5 now...eek!!

I know what you mean, Prunella...the tiniest things can be so hard to do. And yeah, the cats can be great "motivators"...heh!

I would dearly love to be able to take a bath but can't. It's a great way for me to destress.
