i watched that clip. the women with her did not even flinch when she said it. and why should they? as you said, veggie, she was simply saying the title of her monologue.

I think they need to let that go. The "moral monitors" were just thinking loss of $$$$$ from sponsors, I guess. I don't like the word, personally, but as you said, she was only quoting, not trying to be crude.

Exactly, and to quote Eve Ensler, the Vagina Monologue playwright... As for the uproar following Fonda's comment, Ensler, 54, said, "I'm always surprised that people focus on these issues, when one of three women in the world are being raped and beaten and violated."
